Why is Providence using an online public engagement platform?

  • To be effective, this planning process needs to be meaningful to everyone who works at Providence, as it will guide our decision-making and prioritization across the organization. Having Bloom allows people who can’t make in-person sessions to still have a voice, weigh-in using polling or voting features, and stay up-to-date on what’s being heard across the organization via the "What We're Hearing" newsfeed.
  • It also allows those who participated in an in-person session the opportunity to further reflect on an engagement activity or discussion and post additional insights for all to see and add to.
  • Bloom also offers an alternative type of engagement. If you’re an introvert or don’t like speaking in public, you might prefer to type your suggestions or simply vote up or down the suggestions of others.
  • And finally, Bloom also provides a central spot — accessible from anywhere! — for documents, key dates, and stories to be posted and shared.
